Thousands of artist enthusiasts from across the state and region converge on Jenks Main street for this one-of-a-kind event, which will take place on Saturday, October 8 on Jenks Main Street from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Art on Main features 100 Oklahoma artists and wineries displaying and selling their creations.
Mediums will range from drawings, glass, jewelry, painting and photography.
Confirmed wineries thus far include Woods and Waters Winery, Tidal School Vineyards, Summerside Vineyards and Winery, StableRidge Winery and Stone Bluff Cellars.
A great addition to this years’ event will be the children’s section. Bounce Pro Rentals are yet again sponsoring and organizing the children’s area. They will have multiple inflatables and attractions for kids creating a great day activity for the whole family. Other children’s vendors include Color Me Mine, Andy B’s Bowling, Spirit of Canvas, and many more. There will also be numerous give-aways including a sponsored party by Bounce Pro in worth of $500.
This year’s featured musical act will be Grady Nichols, who has previously appeared at Art on Main as the headliner. Nichols will be playing from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
One of South Tulsa’s fastest growing dance studios will also be performing. The Jenks Dance Academy will be opening the show with its Mini and Junior Companies at 10:30 a.m.
Following them, Just Gotta Dance, a clogging group from Tulsa, will take the stage at 11 a.m. Just Gotta Dance will be clogging to many different styles of music including bluegrass, country, rock, hip hop and many more. They recently performed in Jenks at this year’s Herb and Plant Festival.
At noon, Micheal Rappe, Willyecho, and Charlotte Figgins will be playing cover songs from a variety of artists. The three have played in many different bars and restaurants in the area including Los Cabos, Waterfront Grill, and the Canebrake.
In the past, this event has been awarded the Oklahoma Community Institute’s “Outstanding Community Improvement Initiative” award, recognizing the event for its contribution to the Jenks community.
