The 16th Annual Jenks Herb and Plant Festival will be held in downtown Jenks on Saturday, April 28 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The free, one-day event brings thousands of shoppers into Jenks each year. The festival was awarded the 2010 Governor’s Conference on Tourisms’s Redbud Award for an “Outstanding Event.”
Over 150 booths lined Main Street Jenks in 2011 offering a large variety of herbs and plants. Growers from near and far will participate again this year, with new vendors coming every year.
Vendors this year include roses, wine, outdoor furniture, garden clothing, African baskets, trough gardening, garden art and more.
Creek County Master Gardeners will be in attendance to answer the most pressing gardening questions and concerns.
Food vendors will also be set up as well as table and chairs to enjoy the fare.
Early attendees are encouraged to visit the Kiwanis Club’s pancake breakfast taking place at the First Methodist Church, at 5th and Main, from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
The event will also feature live entertainment.
