The Inaugural Banquet is the premiere awards gala in the Jenks community. In addition to swearing in the chamber’s board of directors, the banquet also serves to recap the year, look forward and to honor business and civic leaders.
Awards given during the evening include the Community Impact Award, Business Person of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, the George Tedford Memorial Scholarship to a deserving high school student, and the Ed Gerchman Leadership Award.
Jenks America Food Truck Festival
Held the first Saturday in May, this new festival is quickly becoming one of the community’s most popular events.
More than a dozen of the Tulsa region’s most popular food trucks line Main Street, accompanied by up and coming local musicians and talented regional artists.
Visitors can enjoy lunch, brunch, dinner and a snack during this daylong festival as they peruse Main Street’s many stores.
Jenks Chamber Open Golf Tournament
The Jenks Chamber’s annual golf outing brings together business and civic leaders from the area together for a day of networking, business deals and fun.
Jenks America Freedom Fest
Downtown Jenks becomes the epicenter of Americana on Independence Day.
The Jenks America Freedom Fest features live music, watermelon, barbecue and tons of activities for children.
Taking place just before Los Cabos Boomfest kicks off, the morning and afternoon event is a great way for a family to celebrate America’s independence.
Los Cabos Boomfest
Featuring one of the state’s largest fireworks displays, Los Cabos Boomfest draws tens of thousands of visitors annually to Jenks and the Arkansas River.
The fireworks show, which is shot off from the iconic Jenks pedestrian bridge, is only one part of the great evening of entertainment that awaits.
In addition to the great food and shopping in Jenks, the festival always includes popular local bands and up-and-coming acts.
Art on Main
Art on Main is a celebration of Oklahoma art, music and wine that takes place on Main Street each October.
Attracting more than 10,000 visitors each year, Art on Main has been recognized for its positive impact on the arts in Oklahoma.
In 2010, Art on Main was awarded the governor’s Redbud Award for outstanding event.
More than 100 artists and wineries from Oklahoma participate each year.
Holiday Open House
This kick-off to the Christmas shopping season serves to highlight the great businesses in Jenks and the community as a whole.
The Lights On ceremony ushers in the celebration with a live switching on of the Christmas lights on Main Street.
Live music and more make the event and the shopping the place to be.
The Kiwanis Club Christmas Parade, held the Saturday after Lights On is preceded that morning by the Lions Club Pancake Breakfast.
For nearly 30 years, Leadership Jenks has educated more than 600 Jenks residents about leadership development and about Jenks.
Leadership Jenks graduates have gone on to serve as Jenks Planning Commissioners, Jenks City Councilors and members of the Jenks Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
