The deadline for artists to apply for Art on Main has been extended to Friday, Sept. 7.
“We’ve had some artists contact us about getting in the show and being concerned about missing the original deadline,” Jenks Chamber of Commerce President Josh Driskell said. “We decided to bump the deadline back a few weeks to allow those last applications to come in.”
Thousands of art enthusiasts from across the state and region converge on Jenks Main street for this one-of-a-kind show, which will take place on Saturday, Oct. 13 on Jenks Main Street from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Artists displaying mediums like drawings, glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture, wood carvings, and many more can apply to enter the art show.
Josh Driskell, President of the Jenks Chamber of Commerce stated, “we want to allow more artists the opportunity to participate and grant them enough time to submit their applications and prepare for the event.”
Wineries are also welcome to participate; nevertheless, spots are limited and are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Applications are available online at jenkschamber.com/artonmain and may be requested by email at callie.mccurdy@jenkschamber.com.
This year’s featured musical acts will include Barling, Gary Robert Strickland and Michael Rappe.
