Elevate Jenks, the Jenks Chamber of Commerce’s economic development program, recently launched Business Checkup, an effort designed to proactively connect with existing businesses in order to understand and respond to local business needs.
Business Checkup is a traditional business retention and expansion program, a common economic development tool.
“Business Checkup is invaluable to supporting our existing businesses because it allows us to identify challenges, whether common or unique, facing Jenks businesses,” said Zach Thomas, the Chamber’s director of economic development. “To date, we’ve connected with nearly 20 businesses to help identify challenges they face.”
Chamber President Josh Driskell said the new branding for the effort helps promote understanding of the effort.
“The new naming and branding of our BRE efforts will provide not only a visual representation of Business Checkup but will also help provide clarity about the program’s intent,” he said.
The Jenks Chamber launched Elevate Jenks in December 2019 as the Jenks community’s first formalized economic development program. Elevate Jenks exists to recruit businesses, strengthen and nourish the local business community, and to serve as the first point of contact for all businesses interested in Jenks.
