Voters in Jenks will head to the polls Tuesday, Feb. 9 to decide the fate of a Jenks Public Schools bond issue and, for Republican voters, to elect a county Treasurer.

In the race for treasurer, John Fothergill, who has served as interim treasurer since the retirement of longtime official Dennis Semler, will face fellow Republican Francis “Joe” Hart.

The Jenks Schools bond, which has been endorsed by the Jenks Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, will be two items to fund district-wide equipment, facilities management equipment and repairs, safety improvements, baseball and softball facilities, Phase II expansion at the Freshman Academy, and more.

The bond items, totaling $16,105,000, will not result in a property tax increase.
