YES copyThe Jenks Chamber of Commerce board of directors has voted to endorse the Feb. 9 Jenks Public Schools bond election.

Projects in the $11 million package include expanding the middle school cafeteria, enhancing safety features district-wide and providing textbooks and media equipment for students.

The bond election will not raise taxes.

Board Chairman Craig Bowman urged voters to approve the measure.

“This bond election will provided needed improvements across the district to help ensure Jenks schools remain the best in the state for years to come,” Bowman said.

“As a parent and a business owner, I encourage everyone who lives in the Jenks school district to vote ‘yes’ on Feb. 9.”
