The Jenks Chamber of Commerce and the Jenks Police Department are partnering to offer active shooter training for Jenks businesses.

Register for the active shooter training.

The training will be held Tuesday, June 28 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at The Hive, 115 S. First St. in Jenks. There is no charge to attend, but registration is requested for planning purposes.

The program will include a one-hour training on prevention and response to active shooters and other workplace violence. The program will be tailored to the office setting and other workplace environments. The program will focus on myth versus fact, what to expect from police response, what to look for and how to stay safe.

“This is a service the business community needs,” Jenks Chamber Prescient Josh Driskell said. “We are glad to be able to partner with the Jenks Police Department to offer this training.”

Jenks Police Major Melissa Brown said the program fulfills the department’s mission of working together for a safe community.

“We are proud to partner with the Chamber and offer this service for our community,” she said.
