Now plans are under way to build upon that theme by developing an Antiques and Arts District in conjunction with Jenks Public Schools and its performing arts center, film program, planetarium and new fine arts facilities.
The City Council approved the submission of a $2,000 grant application to the Oklahoma Arts Council on Monday night to develop an Antiques and Arts District in downtown Jenks.
The grant would be matched by the city and administered by the Jenks Chamber of Commerce Community Foundation.
