The Jenks Chamber of Commerce will feature Dr. Ann Money, Director of Development and Research at the Oklahoma Aquarium, at its July 21 luncheon. Sponsored by the Oklahoma Aquarium, the noon event topic is entitled “Oklahoma Aquarium: The Next 20 Years.”
Money has worked as an environmental educator, fisheries biologist, and conservation scientist since 1994.
In 2020, she received her doctorate in Integrative Biology from Oklahoma State University. She researches bio-fluorescence within coral, and how it can provide an earlier warning sign of coral health decline. Her studies have also focused on how a school field trip to a public aquarium impacts a student’s interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math).
Through her new role as the aquarium’s Director of Development and Research, she focuses on community and donor relationships with the aquarium.
Cost to attend is $20 for Chamber members and $30 for non-members.
Register for the July Monthly Luncheon.
The Jenks Chamber of Commerce hosts a luncheon on the third Wednesday of each month featuring networking opportunities and a speaker targeting business development, legislative policy, career coaching and other important topics.
