Organized and co-sponsored by the Jenks Chamber of Commerce, Jenks Chamber of Commerce Community Foundation and the City of Jenks, the program’s goal is to identify, motivate and educate emerging leaders in the Jenks community.
Leadership Jenks aims to promote and enhance community leadership through an in-depth introduction to social, economic, business and policy issues in Jenks. Participants will experience a rich networking environment and access to community, county and state leaders.
The cost for the 10-month program is $250 for members of the Jenks Chamber of Commerce and $350 for non-members. Applications and tuition are both due by Friday, September 17.
Applications will be reviewed by the Leadership Jenks Steering Committee, who will select a diverse group of individuals representing different areas of the community and business community.
Notable alumni include Jenks Mayor Cory Box, Representative Lonnie Sims and Superintendent Dr. Stacey Butterfield to name a few.
Dr. Butterfield said she is grateful for her Leadership Jenks experience.
“Leadership Jenks strengthens the community by exposing participants to everything Jenks has to offer while simultaneously building key communicators among the group who can promote the greater Jenks community,” said Butterfield.
