Jenks Superintendent Dr. Kirby Lehman will update Jenks Chamber members on the state of education at Jenks Public Schools at the chamber’s January luncheon.

Lehman, who is retiring as Jenks Schools Superintendent in 2013, will be making his final State of Education Address.

“Dr. Lehman is always an informative speaker and is always a popular program,” Jenks Chamber President Josh Driskell said. “With his upcoming retirement, though, this luncheon is special. We hope every person with a stake in Jenks, Jenks Public Schools or education in general can come out and hear what he has to say.”

Lehman has been Jenks Superintendent for over 20 years.

He received his bachelor’s degree in English from Purdue University, master’s in secondary administration from Butler University and his doctorate in education administration from Indiana University.

The luncheon will be held Wednesday, Jan. 16 at noon at the Holiday Inn Express in Jenks.

Cost to attend the luncheon is $15 for chamber member and $20 for non-members.

To attend, RSVP to the chamber by Monday, Jan. 14 at 4 p.m. Send reservation to callie.mccurdy@jenkschamber.com or call 918.299.5005.
