Mental health issues facing Oklahoma and developments coming to the state’s mental health system will be the topic of the Jenks Chambers’ April 21 monthly luncheon.

Zack Stoycoff, executive Director of the Healthy Minds Policy Initiative, will address challenges the state faces in terms of mental health in addition to promising developments to tackle the issue. According to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Oklahoma ranks 8th in the nation for incidence of suicide. Other studies show a high percentage of those in the state’s criminal justice system experience mental illness.

The luncheon will be held at The Hive, 115 S. First St. in Jenks at noon. Cost to attend is $20 for Jenks Chamber members and $30 for nonmembers.
