The Jenks Chamber of Commerce’s November 15th luncheon will feature Miss Muscogee Nation Chenoa Barnett.
The noon event is sponsored by River Spirit Casino and Resort.
This luncheon will be held at a different location than usual, we will meet at the River Spirit Casino Resort.
Chenoa Barnett is an individual who is deeply committed to their heritage and community. She proudly belongs to the Raccoon Clan (wotkvlke) and is an active member of Montesoma Baptist Church, where she draws strength and inspiration from their faith.
Hailing from the Tribal Town of Nuyaka, Miss Barnett holds strong roots in the traditions and values of her Muscogee heritage. Currently, She is pursuing their education at the College of the Muscogee Nation, driven by a desire to learn, grow, and contribute to the betterment of their people.
Miss Muscogee Nation is the cherished child of Roger Barnett and Stephanie Goodvoice, and she carries the legacy of their paternal grandparents, the late Joe and Rachel Barnett, as well as her maternal grandparents, the late Kenneth and Sally Good Voice, as a source of strength and inspiration.
With a platform centered around the belief that ‘Culture is Healing,’ Miss Barnett is resolutely committed to the preservation and promotion of their rich cultural heritage. She firmly believes in its transformative power, not only for their community but also for a broader audience. Through dedicated education, advocacy, and active engagement, Miss Muskogee Nation aspires to make a significant and positive impact, harnessing the healing potential of culture for the Muscogee people and beyond.
