The Jenks Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome Courtney Short to the Chamber team in a summer internship role. Over the course of the summer, lifelong resident Short will assist with Discover Jenks content, Chamber events, communication and more.

Short attends the University of Arkansas, where she will enter her third year as a marketing major in the Sam M. Walton College of Business.

Short said she looks forward to the experience of working for the Jenks chamber as she contemplates future career opportunities.

“I hope this internship guides me in the right direction of what I would like to do after graduation,” said Short. “I am looking forward to forming relationships with co-workers and aiding in the growth of the city I have lived in my entire life.”

Josh Driskell, President and CEO of the Jenks Chamber of Commerce, is grateful to have Short on board.

“Our team is elated to have Courtney join us this summer,” said Driskell. “Summer is a perfect time for her to gain experience in communications and planning events, such as July’s Sharklahoma and our recent Bowling for Business event.”

In her spare time, Short enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, scrapbooking and watching/quoting her favorite TV show “The Office.”
