On Wednesday, June 6th, and Thursday, June 7th, Elwood will be temporarily closed between W. Main St. and 111th St. from about 5:30 AM until approximately 6:30 AM for construction activity related to improvements on the Creek Turnpike. After the street is opened to traffic throughout the rest of both of these days Elwood will be restricted to one lane of traffic with flaggers directing traffic at approximately 106th near Polecat Creek where the turnpike crosses over Elwood.
