What started as a family’s love for entertaining developed into the dream venue for many brides across Oklahoma.
Situated on 44 acres of secluded land in Jenks, Spain Ranch boasts a beautiful, crisp, white barn famous for rustic-style weddings.
The vision of the Spain Family, the White Barn at Spain Ranch has been recognized by Brides of Oklahoma magazine and published on junebugweddings.com.
The 4,800 square-foot barn is lined with large windows, flooding the interior with natural light. The bright and airy space creates the perfect canvas for any bride.
The White Barn hosted its first wedding in September 2015 and has been the perfect venue for countless brides since. However, there was still something missing.
“The White Barn is an ideal space for larger weddings,” Cecily Tawney, Director of Events, said. “The space can accommodate up to 200 guests, but with elopements and smaller ceremonies becoming more popular, it is just too big for an intimate feel”.
Then came the idea of the Black Barn.
Sitting just south of the grand White Barn is the foundation of the Black Barn, scheduled to open Summer 2018.
Inspired on a trip to Kentucky, the Spain’s agreed a black barn would be the perfect contrast to the existing barn and provide what was lacking.
“Before, we did not have a place for the wedding party to get ready on-site,” Tawney explained. “The Black Barn will have two bridal suites on either end of the barn. The interior will hold up to 75 people. It will be perfect for corporate events and more intimate wedding ceremonies.”
“We’re excited for this addition to the ranch,” Tawney said.
Booking for the Black Barn will be available late Summer 2018. Renderings of the space are available at www.spainranch.com/blackbarn.
