The first brewery in Jenks, The Cape Brewing Company, will open its doors to the community and craft beer aficionados on Wednesday, March 10, at 4:30 p.m.

The grand opening is open to the public and will include a brief ceremony with words from Head Brewer JC Cody, Jenks City Councilor Kaye Lynn, Vice President of Red Dog Construction Josh McFarland and the Jenks Chamber of Commerce.

At its core, Cody said his goal for The Cape Brewing Company is to be a family establishment.

“We want to be that place where families come and enjoy time together,” said Cody. “It’s why we have games, puzzles, pages to color, an indoor play area for the little ones and a huge outside area for kids to burn off some energy; we are here to cater to Jenks families.”

The Backyard outdoor area located adjacent to the building will additionally serve as a concert venue and area for local food trucks.

In addition to brews, the family-friendly and dog-friendly brewing company will serve local wines, hard seltzer and light food. The tap room will feature local, rotating art for sale.

“We also want to be a home for artists, songwriters, singers, poets and other creatives,” said Cody. “We think everyone has a creative streak in them and this is where they can come, spread their wings, and show it off.”

The Cape Brewing Company is open Wednesday and Thursday, from 4-9 p.m.; Friday, from 2-11 p.m.; Saturday, from noon-11 p.m.; and Sunday, from noon-8 p.m.
