Jenks voters head to the polls April 6 to decide the fate of two seats on the Jenks City Council.

The at-large seat, currently occupied by Mayor Robert Lee, has three candidates vying for the post. Krista Monk, David Randolph and Kevin Short have all filed for the seat. Lee is not seeking re-election.

Note that Jenks voters do not vote for mayor. Based upon state statute, the Jenks City Council elects the mayor from the seven councilors for a two-year term.

For the Ward 4 seat, incumbent Dawn Dyke faces off against challenger Rodney Cline. Jenks residents may vote in all city council races. Wards have no bearing on who can vote.

Ward 3 City Councilor Craig Murray and Ward 6 City Councilor Cory Box filed to run for re-election. Neither councilor drew an opponent.
