The Jenks Chamber’s Women in Business program will host its first-ever Women Who Lead day conference on Tuesday, April 4, from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Presented by the Oklahoma Aquarium, the conference will feature keynote speakers and breakout sessions, and will include breakfast and lunch.
Keynote speakers will include Julie Spencer, owner of J. Spencer; LeAnne Taylor, News on 6 anchor for Six in the Morning; and Dr. Brenda Lloyd-Jones, associate professor in the Department of Human Relations at the University of Oklahoma – Tulsa.
The morning will feature two panel sessions featuring “Women Who Lead Small Businesses and Nonprofit Organizations” and “Women Who Lead in Mental Health and Life-Balance.”
Small business and nonprofit panelists include Liz Flake, Jenks Public Schools Foundation; Dee Hays, HeelzFirst; and Michelle Etter; Mojos Mercantile & Coffee House.
Mental health and life-balance panelists include Jenna Worthen, author of “Women Who Work;” Dr. Amy Emerson, interim Executive Director of the Oklahoma Partnership for School Readiness at OU – Tulsa; Dr. Sara Elneser, Utica Park Clinic; and Shari Holdman, Susan G. Komen.
Time will be allotted for networking breaks.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a mental health analysis.
Following the conference, attendees are invited to attend a networking hour at The Melting Pot in Jenks from 3-5 p.m.
Cost of the conference is $125 for members and $150 for non-members.
The registration deadline is Friday, March 31 by 5 p.m.
